Baskets of Hope
Baskets of Hope is a signature project of Adelaide’s Army of Hope, created to bring comfort, joy, and essential support to children and caregivers during long and often overwhelming hospital stays while facing pediatric cancer and receiving care at Duke Children’s Hospital.
Each thoughtfully assembled basket is filled with caregiver comfort essentials—offering a sense of normalcy, care, and encouragement during some of the hardest days a family will endure. Our optional Room Decoration Bundles are included in each Basket, to transform hospital rooms into personalized spaces of comfort, joy, and hope—customized to each child’s favorite things
More than just a basket, these gifts serve as a reminder that families are not alone in their journey, and that an entire community is standing beside them with love, strength, and hope.

Butterfly Kiss Sponsorship Program
Through our Butterfly Kiss Basket Sponsorship Program, you can turn love into comfort for families facing childhood cancer by sponsoring a fully stocked Basket of Hope for just $100. Each basket is thoughtfully prepared to provide encouragement, essentials, and moments of joy during difficult hospital days and treatment journeys.
Donors may dedicate their basket in honor of someone special, in loving memory of a loved one, or simply as a gift of hope — with a personalized message included to share compassion when it’s needed most.
Every Butterfly Kiss delivers comfort, connection, and hope straight into the hands of a family at Duke Children’s Hospital who needs it.
Butterfly Kisses
Butterfly Kisses is a heartfelt initiative of Adelaide’s Army of Hope created to wrap families facing childhood cancer in love, encouragement, and connection.
Through this program, supporters from our community provide messages of hope, prayers, uplifting words, and reminders of strength that are lovingly handwritten and placed inside our Baskets of Hope. Each message becomes a “butterfly kiss," a gentle reminder that even in the hardest moments, families are seen, supported, and never alone.
These simple yet powerful words often arrive at just the right time: during long hospital stays, overwhelming days, or moments when hope feels hard to hold onto. A few kind sentences can bring comfort, courage, and a spark of light when it’s needed most.
