Spaces of Hope

Spaces of Hope is a therapeutic environment initiative of Adelaide’s Army of Hope, inspired by our belief that movement, play, and connection are essential to healing.

This project aims to create a dedicated therapeutic play space on the Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy floor designed to support the physical, sensory, emotional, and developmental needs of children undergoing cancer treatment and experiencing prolonged hospital stays.

Thoughtfully and intentionally designed with sensory-friendly elements, adaptive play equipment, and areas for creativity and calm, the space will support physical, emotional, and developmental needs while offering a sense of normalcy and comfort, even within the hospital walls.

For families, Spaces of Hope provides a place of relief—where children can safely play and engage, and caregivers can take a breath knowing their child is supported, regulated, and surrounded by care.

More than a room, this space is a living reflection of Addie’s legacy: a place where courage is nurtured, connection is strengthened, and hope is made visible every single day.
